The 2017 DAMR Spring Event was devoted to research on Migrant Decision-Making in ‘the digital information age’ and took place on 15 May at the WODC in the Hague.
DAMR seeks to engage more actively with PhD researchers working on migration issues. For this aim, the DAMR board gives young researchers the opportunity to organize academic events. The proposed events can be workshops, panel debates, or other innovative events that bring together academic researchers and/or engage with a wider audience.
PhD Candidate Merve Burnazoglu (Utrecht University) won DAMR's 2016 call for event proposals and is now organizing a Workshop on Migration Identities and Measurement on 6 June 2017. Attendance is free of charge but registration is required. More information and the registration can be found here.
The fall 2016 DAMR-conference was devoted to research on Urban Refugees and took place on 18 November at Tilburg University and organised by Tesseltje de Lange or Lisa Berntsen. The first part of the conferences focused on urban migrants and informal practices.
